Overview

The US Department of Defense Metadata Registry went live for production use in April 2006 after a more limited pilot during 2005. This registry and repository is based upon freebXML Registry. It is operated by Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES).


Primary Use Case

The primary use case at the moment is to serve as a clearing house for DoD metadata artifacts.
